WORCESTER, Mass. – Unations played out a 3–3 draw with Fall River on Saturday evening at Morse Field, Worcester, in an entertaining contest that featured a strong first-half comeback and a competitive second-half battle.
Fall River made a fast start to the match, scoring twice to take a 2–0 lead and put early pressure on Unations. Despite the setback, Unations responded well and gradually grew into the game as they looked to reduce the deficit before halftime.
Their response came late in the first half. Alex Egan pulled one back to shift momentum, before Kiran Sarvepalli found the equalizer shortly after, bringing Unations level at 2–2 going into the break.
Unations carried that momentum into the second half and took the lead early after the restart. Guervens Murat continued his strong goal-scoring form, finishing clinically to make it 3–2 in favor of Unations
Fall River responded quickly, however, restoring parity at 3–3 shortly after conceding. The match then opened up significantly in the final 20 minutes, with both teams pushing for a winner in an end-to-end finish. Despite chances at both ends, neither side was able to find a decisive goal.
The match ended level at 3–3, with Unations showing strong character to recover from a two-goal deficit while also being left to reflect on a lead that slipped away in the second half.
Ethan Lim made his Unations debut, completing the full 90 minutes in a solid first appearance for the club.
Unations now turn their attention to their next fixture, an away trip to face GZS Bridgeport on Saturday, April 25th at 7:00 PM at Kennedy Stadium in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
