WORCESTER, Mass. – Unations delivered a dominant performance on Saturday evening, defeating Southwest FC 4–0 at Morse Field in Worcester, Massachusetts, in UPSL New England Premier action.
Unations came out aggressively from the opening whistle and found an early breakthrough through Adama Jawara, who scored his first goal for the club with a towering header off a perfectly delivered corner kick from Alex Egan.
The hosts continued to apply relentless pressure throughout the first half, forcing Southwest into mistakes while controlling possession and creating dangerous opportunities. That pressure soon paid off again as a defensive error from Southwest allowed Egan to intercept the ball and calmly finish to double the advantage.
Unations remained dangerous on set pieces and added a third goal later in the half when Guervens Murat found the back of the net from another excellent Alex Egan delivery, this time from a free kick. The goal continued Murat’s remarkable start to the season, as the forward has now scored in every game so far and sits on eight goals for the campaign.
The second half began much like the first, with Unations striking quickly once again. Just moments after the restart, Richie Rivera played a perfectly weighted through ball to Egan, who finished confidently for his second goal of the night to extend the lead to 4–0.
From there, Unations controlled the remainder of the match comfortably, limiting Southwest FC’s attacking opportunities while maintaining possession and defensive organization. Goalkeeper Stephen Jackowski secured his second clean sheet of the season as Unations completed another impressive home performance.
With the victory, Unations continue building momentum in the UPSL New England Premier and will now turn their attention to next Saturday’s road matchup against Fall River FC in Fall River, Massachusetts.
