BOSTON, Mass. – Unations II produced a spirited comeback on Saturday evening, defeating Dorchester City 3–2 in a thrilling UPSL matchup at East Boston Memorial Stadium in Boston, Massachusetts.
Unations started the match with intensity and were rewarded early as Shawnd Chambers opened the scoring with his first goal of the season, giving the visitors an early 1–0 advantage after a bright opening spell.
Dorchester City responded quickly, finding an equalizer just minutes later to swing momentum back in their favor. The hosts continued to push forward and eventually took the lead shortly before halftime, sending Unations II into the break trailing 2–1.
Coming out for the second half, Unations II once again showed urgency and determination. Their strong start paid off early when Chambers stepped up confidently from the penalty spot and converted to level the match at 2–2, recording his second goal of the night.
With both sides searching for a decisive goal, the match opened up in the closing stages. Unations II continued to press forward and eventually found the breakthrough late in the game as Elijah Kalombo delivered the match-winning goal to seal a dramatic 3–2 victory.
The result gives Unations II an important three points and continues to build momentum as the season progresses.
Unations II will now turn their attention to a major test next Saturday, May 9th at 5:30 PM at Morse Field in Worcester, Massachusetts, where they will face league leaders Vermont Clover looking to make a statement.
